Former Texas A&M defensive tackle Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy has committed to South Carolina, following a visit to Columbia earlier this week.
The 6-foot-3, 310-pound Brownlow-Dindy spent three seasons with the Aggies. He played under head coach Jimbo Fisher in 2022 and for most of the 2023 season before Fisher was fired in November of that year. He played under head coach Mike Elko in 2024.
He will have multiple years of eligibility left and will continue his college career under head coach Shane Beamer, defensive coordinator/inside linebackers coach Clayton White, defensive line coach Travian Robertson and the Gamecocks.
Brownlow-Dindy appeared in just two games for South Carolina in 2024. He played 16 total snaps at defensive tackle this season and made one tackle and a half-tackle-for-loss. According to Pro Football Focus, he recorded a defensive grade of 69.7.
After appearing in one game as a true freshman in 2022 and redshirting, Brownlow-Dindy played in five contests in 2023. In eight total games played with the Aggies, he recorded four tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and a half-sack.
As a prospect out of Lakeland High School in Florida in the class of 2022, Brownlow-Dindy was rated as a four-star defensive tackle and the No. 55 overall prospect in the cycle. He also ranked as the No. 4 player at his position and the No. 8 recruit in the state of Florida.

The winter college football transfer portal window is scheduled to open on Dec. 9, 2024 for 20 days. Additionally, players have a 30-day window to transfer when their head coach leaves. There is also a five-day window for players to transfer after their team has finished postseason play. A 10-day transfer window will open on April 16 as well.
