Texas quarterback Hudson Card headlines a group of Longhorns players that intend to enter the transfer portal, per a report from Pete Thamel of ESPN.

Card won the starting quarterback battle in Steve Sarkisian's first season at the helm before current Nebraska signal caller Casey Thompson eventually took over behind center. Quinn Ewers then won QB1 duties for the Longhorns ahead of the 2022 college football season.

Card, a former Rivals250 prospect out of Austin (Texas) Lake Travis in the 2020 recruiting cycle, has started five games on the collegiate level. He threw for 1,523 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Longhorns. He has three more years of eligibility after taking a redshirt season in 2020.

Other Texas Longhorns players that announced their intentions to transfer on Tuesday include wide receiver Troy Omeire, defensive back JD Coffey, offensive lineman Andrej Karic, edge rusher D.J. Harris Jr., and linebacker Prince Dorbah.
