Dequan Finn, who has started 32 contests straight and played in 42 games for the Rockets, is expected to enter the transfer portal.

Through his 2023 campaign, Finn completed 201 of his 317 passes for 2,657 yards, 22 touchdowns and nine interceptions, adding 563 yards and seven scores with his legs. This was good enough for Finn to earn All-MAC First Team recognition. Finn was also awarded the Vern Smith Leadership Award, given annually to the top player in the MAC (the league MVP). Finn led the Rockets to an 11-1 record and an MAC Championship appearance.

In 2022, Finn was able to earn Second Team All-MAC honors. Through the season, Finn totaled 2,260 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions on top of his 631 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns. He was named the MAC Championship Offensive MVP and Boca Raton Bowl Offensive MVP. Finn also served as a counselor at the Manning Passing Academy and landed on watch lists for the Maxwell, Davey O’Brien, and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm awards.

As a Rocket since 2019, and through 42 games, Finn totaled 8,914 yards of offense and 88 touchdowns.

The legendary Rockets quarterback and All-MAC honoree is likely to garner a lot of Power Five attention in the transfer portal.
