The fourth major weekend of the college football season is over and dozens of players who have transferred at least once in their college career made a huge impact on the field. Here are the transfer standouts from Week 4.

QUARTERBACK: Luke Altmyer

Illinois is undefeated with wins against two ranked teams and that doesn’t happen without Atlmyer. Now in his second season with the Illini, the former Ole Miss quarterback was excellent in Friday night’s overtime win on the road at Nebraska. Altmyer threw four touchdowns while completing 78 percent of his passes. He’s now thrown 10 touchdown passes this season, zero interceptions and completed 71 percent of his passes.

Other standouts: Jaxson Dart, Kurtis Rourke, Robby Ashford, Brendan Sorsby, Graham Mertz

RUNNING BACK: Quinshon Judkins

Judkins reminded the college football world who he is on Saturday. The Ole Miss transfer went off for 173 yards on 14 carries and scored twice. One of those touchdowns came on an 86-yard run where he was essentially untouched until he was already in the endzone. Judkins is up to five touchdowns on the season and seems to be hitting his stride as the Buckeyes begin Big Ten play.

Other standouts: Avery Morrow, Jamious Griffin, Brashard Smith, Jaiden Credle, Bhayshul Tuten

WIDE RECEIVER/TIGHT END: Tre Harris

The Ole Miss offense is dominating defenses and Harris is a big reason why. The former Louisiana Tech receiver is in his second season with the Rebels and he has become quarterback Jaxson Dart’s favorite target. Through four games, Harris has more than double the targets of the next most targeted receiver, 661 yards on the season, and four touchdown catches. This past game against Georgia Southern was his best yet, ranking up 11 catches for 225 yards and two touchdowns.

Other standouts: Jack Bech, KeAndre Lambert-Smith, Kyle Williams, Kenny Odom, Travis Hunter

OFFENSIVE LINE: Luke Kandra

Kandra, a 2023 All-Big 12 selection, is having an excellent 2024 campaign. The rock-solid right guard hasn’t given up a sack yet this season. Over the weekend, Kandra continued his standout play against Houston. Kandra, a former Louisville Cardinal now in his second season with Cincinnati, did not allow any quarterback pressures and received very solid grades across the board from PFF.

Other standouts: Baraka Beckett, Logan Parr, Chris Adams, Weylin Lapuaho, Kaden Stanton

DEFENSIVE LINE: Josaiah Stewart

An argument could be made that Stewart was the most disruptive defensive linemen in the nation on Saturday. The former Coastal Carolina standout made a huge impact for Michigan in its game against USC. According to PFF, Stewart recorded eight quarterback pressures, including two sacks, three quarterback hits and three hurries. He was also credited with a forced fumble and a total of three tackles.

Other standouts: Steve Linton, Marvin Jones Jr., Bradyn Swinson, Courtney McBride, Eric Gentry

LINEBACKER: Chris Paul Jr.

Ole Miss had no trouble putting away Georgia Southern over the weekend. The defense allowed only 13 points and Paul was a big reason for that. Paul, who played for Arkansas the past three seasons, recorded 10 tackles, a forced fumble and seven quarterback pressures according to PFF. He added two sacks as well, which doubles his total for the season.

Other standouts: JB Brown, TyQuan King, Nikhai Hill-Green, Zach Zimos, Keenan Pili

DEFENSIVE BACK: Trey Rucker

There were a lot of excellent performances by transfer defensive backs this week but Rucker gets the top spot thanks to this absurd stat line in Oklahoma State's loss to Utah: 12 tackles, two interceptions and zero catches allowed with only one target. The super senior who began his career at Wake Forest, received PFF’s third highest coverage grade for defensive backs who played at least 15 snaps in week four.

Other standouts: Caleb Downs, Travis Hunter, Markevious Brown, Jermod McCoy, Jack Tchienchou
