Emory Jones has found a new home – again.

The former Arizona State and Florida dual-threat signal caller announced today that he has signed with Cincinnati, his third team in as many seasons. Jones has one year of eligibility left.

It’s a new day for the Bearcats, who make the move from the Group of Five to the Big XII next season. They hired Scott Satterfield away from Louisville to replace Luke Fickell who bolted to Wisconsin.

Jones, who opened the 2022 season as the Sun Devils' starter, is transferring as a graduate student. Jones started Arizona State’s first seven games before being replaced. He completed 62.8 percent of his passes, led the team in passing yards (1,533), while tossing seven touchdown passes and four interceptions. Jones also ran for four touchdowns.

In the spring, Jones arrived at Arizona State after starting 12 of 13 games in 2021 for Florida. That season, he passed for 2,734 yards, 19 touchdowns and 13 interceptions, to go along with 759 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

Jones signed with Florida in 2018 out of Heard County High School (Franklin GA) as a four-star prospect ranked No. 89 in the Rivals250. He is currently the No. 165 overall prospect in the Rivals Transfer Rankings.
