Williams was one of the most sought-after young receiver prospects in the portal after a breakout season this year. He posted 588 yards on 30 receptions and scored five touchdowns; that included 461 yards on 21 catches over a four-game span.

He was subsequently named AAC Freshman of the Year.

Before committing to Utah, Williams considered USC and Mississippi State too.

Williams was considered a two-star prospect in 2024 class.
