Chandler Rogers, a quarterback out of North Texas, announced on December 5th that he is entering the transfer portal. Rogers, going into his sixth year, will have a single year of eligibility remaining. Prior to his lone season with the Mean Green, Rogers spent the 2021 and 2022 seasons at Louisiana-Monroe, 2020 at Blinn College, and 2019 at Southern Miss.
In 2023, Rogers put together his strongest season of football yet: through 12 games, the quarterback put up 3,382 yards, 29 touchdowns, and five interceptions through the air, adding 180 yards and four touchdowns on his legs. His 3,382 passing yards was good for second in the AAC and his 29 passing touchdowns led the conference. Despite this, he was left off of the AAC’s postseason awards.
Between 2021 and 2022, as a Warhawk, Rogers completed 65.7% of his passes for 3,704 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions on top of his 353 yards and five scores on the ground through 24 games and 18 starts.
Now, the six-foot, 195 pound sixth-year transfer will look for his fifth home. After his stellar 2023 campaign, he’s likely to be a very popular target.
