USC got a big boost to its defensive frontline, landing former Kentucky defensive lineman Keeshawn Silver on Thursday. The 6-foot-4, 335-pounder will have just one year of eligibility remaining with the Trojans.

This season, Silver wreaked havoc on opposing offenses, posting 26 tackles, a career best. He’ll be able to step in and contribute immediately with depletions on the frontline from a defense that posted 20 sacks this season.

Silver originally signed with North Carolina before transferring to Kentucky in 2023. He was a four-star prospect in the 2021 class and ranked No. 88 overall in the Top 100.

Silver picked the Trojans over Miami, Florida and Michigan.
