USC wide receiver Zachariah Branch and safety Zion Branch intend to enter the transfer portal, according to multiple reports. They are brothers.

Zion just finished his redshirt sophomore campaign with the Trojans, and has played for head coach Lincoln Riley for three seasons from 2022 through 2024. Zachariah just wrapped up his true sophomore season and played for USC in 2023 and 2024.

Zion redshirted in 2022 due to a season-ending injury. Both players have two years of eligibility remaining, and Zachariah still has a redshirt availability if needed as well.

Zachariah played in all 12 games for the Trojans in 2024, recording 47 receptions for 503 yards (10.7 yards per catch) and one touchdown. He added two rushes for 17 yards.

In 23 career games with the Trojans, Zachariah totaled 78 receptions for 823 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed 11 times for 87 yards (7.9 yards per carry) and another touchdown. He was used as a kick and punt returner as well and scored one touchdown of each while with USC.

Zion played in 10 games in 2024, recording 19 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack and three passes defended.

During his time with USC, Zion played in 19 career games. He amassed 41 total tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, three passes defended and one forced fumble.

Zachariah was a five-star wide receiver prospect out of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas in the class of 2023. He ranked as the No. 7 overall recruit in the cycle.

Zion was a four-star safety prospect in the class of 2022, and also played his prep ball at Bishop Gorman. He ranked as the No. 64 overall recruit that year.

The winter college football transfer portal window is scheduled to open on Dec. 9, 2024 for 20 days. Additionally, players have a 30-day window to transfer when their head coach leaves. There is also a five-day window for players to transfer after their team has finished postseason play. A 10-day transfer window will open on April 16 as well.
