USC transfer wide receiver Kyron Hudson is heading east. He announced his commitment to Penn State on Monday night.
Hudson spent four seasons in Los Angeles. He began his career at USC in 2021 under then-head coach Clay Helton and redshirted that year. He finished out his last three seasons there under head coach Lincoln Riley from 2022 through 2024.
He will play his final year of eligibility under head coach James Franklin, wide receivers coach/offensive recruiting coordinator Marques Hagans and the Nittany Lions.
Hudson played in 12 games, including nine starts, in 2024. He totaled 38 receptions for 462 yards (12.2 yards per catch) and three touchdowns.
According to Pro Football Focus, Hudson played 544 offensive snaps and recorded an offensive grade of 68.2. He also played 107 snaps on specials teams.
In 39 career games, Hudson recorded 70 receptions for 803 yards (11.5 yards per catch) and eight touchdowns.
As a prospect, Hudson was a four-star wide receiver out of Mater Dei High School in California in the 2021 class.
He ranked as the No. 14 player in California, the No. 20 wide receiver and the No. 152 prospect nationally. Hudson committed to USC in November of 2020.

The winter college football transfer portal window is scheduled to open on Dec. 9, 2024 for 20 days. Additionally, players have a 30-day window to transfer when their head coach leaves. There is also a five-day window for players to transfer after their team has finished postseason play. A 10-day transfer window will open on April 16 as well.
