Veteran QB Jacob Zeno commits to Texas A&M

Jacob Zeno is officially off the board to Texas A&M after entering the transfer portal and visiting the Aggies on Monday. The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder will have just one year of eligibility for Mike Elko.

Zeno originally signed with Baylor in 2019 and remained in Waco for three years before transferring to UAB in 2022.

A year later, Zeno took over as QB1 and thrived posting 3,126 yards passing and 20 touchdowns while also adding four more rushing touchdowns. That season he set a single season record with 279 completions and completion percentage (73.6 percent).

A former four-star commit in the Rivals 100, Zeno is the first score for Elko in this cycle.

Now, Zeno will compete with the Aggies current contingent of quaterbacks next season including Marcel Reed, Myles O’Neil and Brady Hart.

The winter college football transfer portal window is scheduled to open on December 9th, 2024 for 20 days. Additionally, players have a 30-day window to transfer when their head coach leaves. There is also a five-day window for players to transfer after their team has finished postseason play. A 10-day transfer window will open on April 16th as well.
