Stroman had 43 tackles, two forced fumbles and two passes defended his sophomore year.

Stroman was a Rivals.com three-star prospect coming out of Nokesville (Va.) Patriot High. He was ranked No. 16 overall in Virginia and No. 60 nationally at safety.

Stroman picked Virginia Tech, where his brother Greg Stroman also played at, and had offers from Duke, Indiana, James Madison, Kent State, Old Dominion, Richmond, Syracuse, Temple, Vanderbilt and Virginia.
