A year after both his head and defensive backs coaches left to takeover at Washington, former Arizona defensive back Tacario Davis has decided to follow suit, committing to the Huskies on Tuesday. The 6-foot-4, 190-pounder will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Davis is a major pickup for Jedd Fisch, who will likely look to him as a leader in the secondary after a stellar season last year, posting a career-high 44 tackles, including two tackles for loss.
That should help to improve a defense that accumulated 821 tackles this season and a secondary that produced just eight interceptions this season.
Davis, who had initially explored the possibility of entering the NFL Draft, was the top available defensive back left in the portal and checked in at No. 34 overall in the Rivals Portal rankings.
