Washington State redshirt junior wide receiver Josh Kelly is entering the transfer portal after one season with the Cougars. During his lone season in a Cougar uniform, Kelly played in all 12 games, totaling 61 receptions for 923 yards and eight touchdowns for a 15.1 yards per reception average. Kelly transferred to Washington State for this past season after playing four seasons at Fresno State.

In the 2021 season at Fresno State, Kelly played in 13 games totaling 52 receptions, 778 yards, and three touchdowns. He started to really come into his own that season before missing half of the 2022 season.

Kelly committed to Fresno State as a 2-star recruit with a 5.3 Rivals rating as part of their 2019 class. To say the least, he has really made strides over the course of his college career.

Given he is a much better player than he was out of high school, it’s kinda hard to figure out where he’ll land. Given he played at San Joaquin Memorial in Fresno, maybe he returns to the Golden State once again. Cal is a program that might take a look at him as well as UCLA. Stanford’s academic requirements make things tough for them, but if he could get admitted, he’d be a possible one for them target, too.

It'll be interesting to see where he lands and whether or not he ends up staying put on the West Coast or taking his talents to some other part of the country.
