Miami transfer quarterback Tyler Van Dyke is heading north.

Rivals can confirm that the three-year starter will be going to Madison to play for coach Luke Fickell. Van Dyke took an official visit to Wisconsin last weekend and it didn’t take long for him to realize the Badgers were going to be his new team.

Van Dyke was the 2021 ACC Rookie of the Year. He completed 63.7 percent of his pass attempts for 7,478 yards and 54 touchdowns with 23 interceptions over the last four seasons. During the 2023 season, he threw for 2,703 yards and 19 touchdowns to 12 interceptions.

Van Dyke will make back to back transfer starting quarterbacks for Luke Fickell’s team. Last year the Badgers signed Tanner Mordecai from the portal and he was the starter this season.

The veteran signal-caller joins a room with second-year players Braedyn Locke and Nick Evers. Cole LaCrue redshirted during the 2023 season and Mabrey Mettauer is set to enroll early soon.
