Luke Fickel’s receiving core for 2025 suffered a big blow on Wednesday when Tanner Koziol entered the transfer portal after committing to the Badgers in December.

The 6-foot-7, 235-pound junior will have just one year of eligibility remaining at his next landing spot.

Before coming to Madison, Koziol was a dominant force at Ball State where he ranked No. 4 in the FBS in receptions in 2024, posting 94 catches for 839 yards and eight touchdowns. That earned him second-team All-MAC honors.

For his career, Koziol has amassed 163 catches for 1,507 yards.

Before he committed to Wisconsin, Koziol visited Houston.
