Clark Lea snagged some young talent for his defensive frontline on Friday, landing former North Carolina defensive tackle Terry Nwabuisi-Ezeala. The 6-foot-2, 305-pounder will have all four years of eligibility remaining with the Commodores.

Nwabuisi-Ezeala was an early enrollee but couldn’t earn his way onto the field in Chapel Hill’s crowded defensive trenches, which racked up 41 sacks in 2024. That was good enough to rank third in the ACC.

Still, Nwabuisi-Ezeala had a dominant senior season at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Ga.), posting 41 total tackles, nine for loss, three sacks and seven quarterback hurries.

Now, he joins a defense that managed 26 sacks and finished 11th in the SEC last season.
