Georgia will lose a big piece to the defensive puzzle for next season with linebacker Damon Wilson intending to enter the transfer portal. The 6-foot-5, 240-pounder will have two years of eligibility remaining.

This season, Wilson posted 22 tackles and three sacks for the Bulldogs and looked to be a big part of the scheme next season with the key depletions like Mykel Williams and Jalon Walker, who both declared for the NFL Draft.

Wilson was a major score for Kirby Smart as a five-star prospect in the Top 100 for 2023. He checked in at No. 11 overall.

He originally picked the Bulldogs over Ohio State and Alabama and will undoubtedly be a hot commodity once he’s processed into the portal.
