Elijah Sarrett, a wide receiver out of James Madison, entered the transfer portal on December 15th: “While JMU is still an option, I want to thank y’all for everything! With that being said, I am entering my name into the transfer portal with 2 (two) years of eligibility left”.

Sarratt, who spent 2023 with James Madison, transferred there after a season with Saint Francis in 2022. Across those two seasons, Sarratt played 24 games, logging 16 starts, including 12 starts with the Dukes.

In 2023, Sarratt helped the Dukes to an 11-1 record, arriving as the squads leading receiver. Across 12 games, the sophomore was able to haul in 74 receptions for 1,076 yards and eight touchdowns. Sarratt earned conference recognition, landing on the All-Sun Belt First Team offense. He was also named a HERO Sports Group of Five Second Team All-American, while adding All-American Honorable Mention recognition from College Football Network.

At Saint Francis as a true freshman in 2022, Sarratt pieced together a special season. Through 12 games, he pulled in 42 catches for 700 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns, leading SFU in receiving touchdowns and tying the program's single-season touchdown reception record. He was named a HERO Sports and Stat Perform FCS Freshman All-American and a 2022 All-NEC First Team receiver.

Now, following back-to-back All-American campaigns, Sarratt will stand to be a highly coveted asset in the transfer portal. Going into his junior season, Sarratt will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
