Michigan State offensive tackle Spencer Brown has entered the transfer portal. The lineman made his announcement on social media.

“East Lansing will always be home!

I appreciate everybody who helped me become the man I am today since I arrived on campus. I want to thank Coach D for making my dreams come true!

Thank you to the coaches, support staff and my teammates for giving me a once in a lifetime experience! I have no regrets! Lastly, I want to thank the fans; you will always have a special place in my heart!

After further consideration, I will be using my final year of eligibility and will be entering my name in the transfer portal.”

As a recruit, Brown was a four-star recruit coming out of high school in the 2019 recruiting class. He selected the Spartans over offers from Iowa, Missouri, Maryland, Miami, Virginia Tech and Minnesota.

Brown lived up to his four-star ranking coming out of high school and developed into a good offensive tackle in the Big Ten. He’ll be a very hot commodity in the portal unless new coach Jonathan Smith can convince him to stay.
