Oregon freshman cornerback Cole Martin has entered the transfer portal after one season with the Ducks. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

Martin had a solid freshman campaign. In 14 games played, he totaled 21 tackles (13 solo), one interception, and one pass deflection. His top performance was in Oregon’s 49-13 victory at Arizona State. In that game he had five solo tackles, one interception, and one pass deflection. He showed a lot of promise this past season and was the most productive of any true freshman in Oregon’s secondary. It’s definitely a bummer for the Ducks to see him depart their program.

Martin committed to Oregon as a 4-star prospect with a 5.9 Rivals rating as part of their 2023 class. He played at Basha High School in Chandler, Arizona. Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Cal, Colorado, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Iowa State, Stanford, Texas, UCLA, USC, and many other P5 programs offered him a scholarship. He’ll have plenty of programs giving him a call.
