Alabama mostly relied on two wide receivers this past season, but that won't be the case next year.
Alabama added one of the top receivers in the transfer portal, landing 6-foot-4, 205-pound sophomore Isaiah Horton of Miami (Fla.). The smooth wideout had 56 catches for 616 yards and five touchdowns for the Hurricanes.
Alabama freshman Ryan Williams caught 45 passes for 857 yards and eight yards, and junior Germie Bernard added 46 catches for 714 yards and two scores.
Horton caught a season-high eight catches for 108 yards and a touchdown in a 50-15 win at South Florida on Sept. 21. He also had nine catches for 83 yards and a score in the 39-38 comeback win at California on Oct. 5. Those two games were part of a four-game streak where he caught a score.
Horton was a three-star prospect by Rivals.com and the No. 21 overall player in Tennessee and No. 86 wide receiver nationally in the class of 2022 by Rivals.com. The Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Oakland High product picked Miami over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Louisville, Mississippi, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.
Horton caught 34 passes for 643 yards and seven touchdowns his senior year at Oakland High.
