Dickinson, a grad transfer, will have two years of eligibility in Lawrence, but his presence makes Bill Self and the Jayhawks a national title contender today.

This past season at Michigan, Dickinson averaged 18.5 points, while shooting 56 percent from the field, nine rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.5 assists a game.

Dickinson has, arguably, been the most steadily dominant big in college basketball over the last three years. His versatility should mesh well with returnees K.J. Adams and Dajuan Harris.

Self is also in contention to land Mackenzie Mgbako, a five-star forward who decommited from Duke.

Still , while the possibility of a Dickinson,-Mgbako-Adams front court sounds enticing, Thursday’s domino keeps the Jayhawks strong regardless.
