Hartman started 45 games for Wake Forest, leading the Demon Deacons to a 27-18 record in those games including a Gator Bowl victory over Rutgers after last season and a win over Missouri in the Gasparilla Bowl this year.

The 2023 season will be Hartman’s sixth, and final, season of college football.
