West Virginia wide receiver Hudson Clement has entered the transfer portal, Rivals has learned.
The Mountaineers fired head coach Neal Brown on Dec. 1. West Virginia then hired Rich Rodriguez on Dec. 12. Of note, Rodriguez also previously served as head coach for WVU from 2001 through 2007.
The 6-foot-1, 198-pound Clement played three seasons in Morgantown under Brown. He redshirted as a true freshman in 2022 and will have two years of eligibility left.
In 2024, Clement started all 12 games for West Virginia. He recorded career-highs in receptions (51), receiving yards (741) and receiving touchdowns (five).
According to Pro Football Focus, Clement played 702 offensive snaps and recorded an overall grade of 76.4 in 2024. He also played 11 snaps on special teams.
In 2023, Clement totaled 22 catches for 480 yards (21.8 yards per catch) and four scores.
He played in 23 career games for the Mountaineers and amassed 73 receptions for 1,221 yards (16.7 yards per catch) and nine touchdowns.

The winter college football transfer portal window is scheduled to open on Dec. 9, 2024 for 20 days. Additionally, players have a 30-day window to transfer when their head coach leaves. There is also a five-day window for players to transfer after their team has finished postseason play. A 10-day transfer window will open on April 16 as well.
